The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) on Wednesday, 10th June 2026, held the decoration ceremony for officers recently promoted to the ranks of Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) and Comptroller of Quarantine (CQ) at the Service Headquarters, Abuja.
In his address, the Comptroller General of NAQS, Dr. Vincent Isegbe, welcomed distinguished guests and specially acknowledged the Chairman of the Governing Board, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas Sanilusi, for gracing the occasion. He congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to remain committed, disciplined, and steadfast in the discharge of their duties.
The Comptroller General assured the officers that dedication, diligence, and hard work would continue to be recognized and rewarded. He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support to the Service, which has contributed significantly to positioning NAQS among the leading government agencies in the country.
Speaking at the event, the Board Chairman commended the newly promoted officers for their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary work ethic, noting that their elevation was a testament to their commitment and years of meritorious service.
Highlights of the ceremony included the decoration of the promoted officers with their new ranks and the presentation of promotion letters to Directors serving as Zonal Commanders of the South-South and South-West Zones. Appreciation remarks were delivered by Mrs. Ohiagu on behalf of the spouses, families, and friends of the decorated officers, while Dr. Joy, Director and Zonal Commander, South-West Zone, delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the ceremony to a close.
