NAQS CG STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS DURING SOUTH-WEST WORKING VISIT

While on a working visit to the South-West Zone, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) took deliberate steps to strengthen partnerships and deepen collaboration between NAQS and key stakeholders to enhance export activities and ensure strict compliance with export protocols.

Part of the CG’s entourage was Mr Dike Analogbei who the CG fondly describes as a friend of the Agency, CEO of Angels Meal Ltd UK and Angels Meal International Nigeria. A seasoned food technologist, who is passionate about ensuring that food products from Nigeria are safe, well-packaged, and competitive for the global market.

During the visit, the CG toured a leading soilless farm, where he was warmly received by the lead trainer of Soilless Farm Lab, Farmer Samson Ogbole. During the visit, the CG was impressed by the level of compliance in food handling,, processing and packaging. Farmer Ogbole reaffirmed his commitment to continued capacity building and collaborative synergy with NAQS for the betterment of Nigeria.

The CG also inspected a slaughterhouse currently under development, noting its potential to boost compliant livestock export once completed. The visit underscored the CG’s commitment to building strong, strategic alliances that will improve export readiness and further safeguard the nation’s agricultural economy.
