NAQS Comptroller General Flags Off Training for New Recruits at DBI Lagos

Lagos, Nigeria – The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Dr. Vincent Isegbe, today formally inaugurated the training program for newly recruited officers at the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Lagos.

In his address, the CG underscored the importance of discipline, urging the trainees to adhere strictly to instructions and uphold the highest standards of conduct, as “indiscipline has no place in NAQS.” the CG reminded the recruits that their selection is a privilege and encouraged them to honor it with responsibility and pride.

The CG further emphasized that training at NAQS is a continuous process, stating, “Your training does not end here; it extends throughout your career. Excellence and learning are lifelong commitments in NAQS.”

Also present at the event, ACG Joy Ichue (Dr.), the South-West Zonal Commander, warmly welcomed the recruits into the SW Zone. She highlighted NAQS’s commitment to fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation. Dr. Ichue described the Service as a supportive and inclusive organization that values its officers as its greatest asset.

A consultant addressing the recruits encouraged them to embrace the training process with open minds and a positive mindset. She noted that doing so would position them for success in service and maximize opportunities for personal and professional growth.
