NAQS Comptroller General Hosts Senior Special Assistant to the President on Export Expansion

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) Dr. Vincent Isegbe welcomed the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Export Expansion, Mr. Aliyu Bunu Sheriff, to the NAQS Headquarters in a strategic engagement aimed at advancing Nigeria’s export potential.

During the courtesy visit, both officials engaged in productive discussions on NAQS’s pivotal role in trade facilitation and export expansion, reaffirming their shared commitment to fostering collaborative frameworks that enhance synergy among stakeholders and strengthen Nigeria’s position in global markets.

Mr. Sheriff underscored the strategic importance of developing the Halal certification value chain as a vital avenue for accessing untapped international markets. In response, the Comptroller General highlighted the Service’s dedication to promoting improved agricultural varieties and reinforcing quarantine protocols to ensure Nigeria’s agricultural exports consistently meet international standards.
