NAQS Hosts National Single Window Team for Technology Readiness Assessment

Abuja — The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) welcomed the National Single Window (NSW) Team earlier today for an official discussion on NAQS’s Technology Readiness Assessment Report, marking a crucial step towards its integration into the National Single Window Project.

The NSW delegation was led by Mr. Tola Fakolade, Director of the National Single Window Project, and received by Dr. Vincent Isegbe, Comptroller General of NAQS. The meeting focused on evaluating NAQS’s current technological infrastructure and identifying key areas for improvement to ensure seamless integration into the national initiative.

During the session, the NSW Technology and Infrastructure Workstream presented its findings, appraising NAQS’s preparedness and offering strategic recommendations for enhancing its technological capacity. In response, CG NAQS expressed gratitude to the NSW Team, reaffirming NAQS’s commitment to the project and its readiness to collaborate on implementing the proposed recommendations.

Following the discussion, both parties pledged to work closely together to address the assessment’s findings and advance NAQS’s integration into the National Single Window framework.

The National Single Window Project aims to streamline trade processes by creating a unified platform for efficient and transparent exchange of information between government agencies and stakeholders in the trade sector.
