NAQS Participates in Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Mystery Service Retreat

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) was among the 70 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) assessed in the recent Mystery Service Quality Assessment spearheaded by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).

The Retreat is part of PEBEC’s broader mandate to foster a more business-friendly environment by monitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities for institutional improvement.

In response to the outcome, the Comptroller General of NAQS charged all officers to remain vigilant, proactive, and committed to quality service delivery at all stations and offices. He emphasized the importance of timely, courteous, and solution-driven responses to stakeholders and the general public, noting that these efforts directly impact the agency’s performance ranking and public reputation.

“The goal is not just to improve our standing, but to live out our vision—to be the lead regulatory agency in Nigeria,” the CG stated. “Every officer must take ownership of this mandate and treat every customer interaction as an opportunity to build trust and demonstrate excellence.”

This renewed call to action reinforces NAQS’s ongoing efforts to deliver world-class services and align with global best practices in trade facilitation.
