The Comptroller-General, accompanied by the Special Assistant (Technical), the Principal Staff Officer, Reform Champion and members of the PEBEC Committee, attended the PEBEC Award and Gala Night held at the Banquet Hall of the State House. During the event, the CG received a distinguished award as a key collaborator, following the successful signing of the MOU between NAQS and NEPZA.
In his remarks, the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, reaffirmed his office’s commitment to driving economic reforms and encouraged MDAs to continue ensuring that import and export processes remain seamless and efficient.
The CG noted that this recognition should serve as a motivation for all NAQS officers to strengthen collaboration and synergy with other agencies across ports, stations, and borders to make operations easier, faster, and more seamless for the good of the nation. If Nigeria succeeds, we all succeed.
It was indeed a remarkable evening, with the CG embodying his long held belief that collaboration, not competition, is the pathway to national success.
He was seen exchanging pleasantries with Ambassador Gautier Mignot alongside Massimo De Luca the European Union delegation to Nigeria, Ambassador Bambang Suharto the Indonesia Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Ishmael A. Balogun the president of the Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of commerce and industry, Dr Terhemen Johnpaul the Executive Secretary of BENIPA and other stakeholders to promote NAQS mandate by strengthening partnerships aimed at improving agro-export and safeguarding the agricultural economy of the nation.
