The Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has inaugurated its SERVICOM Committee and organized a capacity-building lecture for officers as part of efforts aimed at enhancing service delivery, institutional efficiency, and professional excellence across the Service.
Speaking during the event, the Comptroller-General of NAQS, Dr. Vincent Isegbe, stated that the Service has continued to distinguish itself in public service delivery through innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. According to him, NAQS is consistently “putting its best foot forward” in service delivery, which has earned the Agency top positions in the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) rankings over the years.
The CG further emphasized that the Agency remains committed to improving daily through reforms, staff development, stakeholder engagement, and the deployment of efficient systems that promote transparency and ease of doing business.
The keynote address was delivered by the Acting Director of SERVICOM, Mrs. Helen Lawal, alongside the Director of Reforms, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), who both emphasized the importance of professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, and citizen-centered service delivery in achieving excellence within the public sector.
Highlight of the event was the recognition of the NAQS SERVICOM/PEBEC Focal Officer, ACG O.V Fasugbe, who was recognized as one of the most performing focal officer under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in acknowledgment of her dedication, coordination, and outstanding contributions towards institutional reforms and service excellence.
The lecture encouraged officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and commitment in the discharge of their duties as critical pillars for strengthening public confidence and achieving organizational goals.
