The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) earlier this week received the leadership of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) on a courtesy visit to the Comptroller-General of NAQS, Dr. Vincent Isegbe.
The visit aimed to strengthen institutional collaboration and explore areas of partnership in preparation for the forthcoming NVMA Annual General Congress. The NVMA delegation briefed the Comptroller General on ongoing plans for the event and sought NAQS’s support towards ensuring a successful and impactful congress.
In his remarks, the CG commended the NVMA for its professionalism and proactive engagement in advancing veterinary practice in Nigeria. He reaffirmed NAQS’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote animal health, strengthen food safety systems, and safeguard the nation’s agricultural economy.
The meeting showed the shared vision of both institutions in promoting sustainable livestock health management and ensuring the integrity of Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
