Inline with the Comptroller General’s human capital development, today, October 7, 2025, DCQ Odok Lydia D. led an internal seminar on “Hibiscus Plants: Its Wealth Creation Potential for Exportation” at the NAQS Headquarters, Abuja.
The session focused on the farming of hibiscus, the appropriate soil types for cultivation, and the various uses of the plant ranging from food and beverages to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Participants gained valuable insights into the economic opportunities within the hibiscus value chain and its increasing demand in international markets.
The Comptroller General of NAQS, Dr. Vincent Isegbe, was present at the seminar. In his remarks, he commended the initiative and encouraged officers to come up with more seminar presentations, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and being well-versed in knowledge relevant to the NAQS mandate.
The interactive session reinforced NAQS commitment to promoting knowledge sharing, capacity building, and the development of viable agricultural export commodities to enhance Nigeria’s global trade footprint.
